Garden City Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 19th, due to dangerously low temperatures and wind chills. The safety of our students and staff always comes first, and with extreme cold in the forecast, it is simply too dangerous for travel and outdoor exposure.

The calendar committee for Garden City Public Schools is seeking input from parents regarding calendar options for the 2026-2027 school year. The survey consists of 6 questions and will take only a couple minutes. Survey is open through January 15th. Thank you!

As much as we would like to have students back in school, we do not feel that can be done safely due to forecasted extreme windchill temperatures. There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, January 16th for Garden City Public Schools.

Santa isn’t ready to go back to school yet! Due to expected inclement weather conditions, all Garden City Public Schools facilities will be closed to the public on Monday, January 8th.
The Board of Education meeting will proceed as normal at 6pm and will be open to the public.
Staff members are not required to report to work, unless specifically instructed by their supervisor.

This year's Ages and Stages Screening is Friday, September 8. There will be no school for all Garfield and Kindergarten students. Students 1st - 12th grade will attend classes as usual.
